3 juveniles arrested after man killed in drive-by shooting near 27th Avenue and Van Buren Street

PHOENIX — Phoenix police investigated a deadly drive-by shooting that occurred on the morning of April 10.

Just before 2 a.m., police were called to a Phoenix residence near 27th Avenue and Van Buren Street for reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived they located a 46-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound in the driveway of his home.

He was taken to a hospital where he died. Police have identified him as Mark Resendez.

Through an initial investigation, detectives believe Resendez was in front of his home when an unknown vehicle drove by and started shooting at him.

On June 30, Phoenix police officials said after extensive investigative work, three juveniles were arrested in connection to the shooting. Further details haven't yet been provided.
