Police are investigating after a domestic dispute turned deadly at a home near downtown Phoenix overnight.
According to police on scene, a man in his twenties died after in an incident near 16th Street and Portland around midnight.
The shooting reportedly occurred during an argument between the victim and several others at the home. Sgt. Trent Crump says family members were assaulted by the victim before he was shot and killed.
Multiple generations of family members live at the home, but two children inside were not hurt during the assault, police say.
Police are still very active at the scene conducting the investigation. The man who is believed to have shot the victim was taken to the hospital for injuries and will be later questioned by police.
No one has been arrested.
