PHOENIX — Phoenix police are investigating a deadly shooting near 22nd Street and Thomas Road.
Officers responded to a shots-fired call in the area around 5 a.m. Tuesday, June 20. They located a man at the scene who had gunshot wounds.
The victim, identified as 31-year-old Samuel Lamas, Jr., was pronounced dead at the scene.
What led up to the shooting is under investigation and police have not released anything information regarding a suspect.
Officials released video Friday, June 29, regarding potential witnesses to the shooting.
Police ask that anyone with information regarding the people seen in the surveillance footage or the shooting itself call the Phoenix Police Department or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO for Spanish speakers.
