Troopers with the Arizona Department of Public Safety say a 38-year-old man riding a motorcycle on a Phoenix freeway overnight died at the scene of a serious crash.
Around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, Karim Harrison was reportedly traveling southbound on I-17 to eastbound I-10 at the stack. The crash occurred within the ramp area.
Troopers are still investigating how the crash occurred, but they say Harrison, a resident of Phoenix, was ejected from his bike after traveling off into the desert area off the freeway.
The transition ramp was closed for several hours for the investigation. DPS reopened the roadway just after 7 a.m., according to information on scene.
