He's the fiery prosecutor who took on Jodi Ariasin two epic courtroom battles.
Now, Juan Martinez is releasing a book detailing his thoughts and strategy throughout the high profile Valley murder trial.
"Convicted" also covers his impressions of the woman accused of murdering her ex-boyfriend, Travis Alexander, in June of 2008.
"She just seemed like the bad waitress type. The kind that will not take responsibility, the kind when the food comes late, it's the kitchen, they're the problem," says Martinez. "She's somebody that she knew what she wanted and that was to stop Mr. Alexander from dating other people."
Arias was convicted of first degree murder in 2013, then sentenced to natural life in prison in April, 2015.
Martinez says "I think there was a lesson to be learned here. You're just not going to get away with murder, you're just not."
