PHOENIX — Phoenix police say a juvenile male is in critical condition after being shot in Phoenix Saturday afternoon.
Officers were called to the scene near 67th Avenue and Van Buren Street around 3:45 p.m. for reports of a gunshot wound.
When police arrived, they discovered a juvenile male victim was shot accidentally.
It was first reported that there was a drive-by shooting at the park that caused the injury; however, following an investigation, Phoenix police say three adult men tried to hide the accidental shooting by reporting that they were followed after exiting a bus and then shot.
The victim remains in critical condition.
