PHOENIX — Phoenix police are investigating after a man was shot and killed during a home invasion on Wednesday afternoon.
Officers were called to an apartment near 38th Street and Cambridge Avenue around 1:20 p.m. in response to a shooting call.
Police learned that 22-year-old Luis Martinez Romero forced entry into the home of a man known to him. The man inside the home shot Romero, causing fatal injuries.
The shooter is cooperating with investigators and stayed at the scene.
The case will be submitted to the Maricopa County Attorney's Office for review.
