Police say a 1-year-old boy and grandmother who went missing have been found safe in Phoenix.
Phoenix police told ABC15 on Friday morning that 1-year-old Isaac Hernandez and his grandmother, 60-year-old Leticia Reyes De Lopez, were found near 14th Street and University Drive.
They were staying in a transient camp at the river bottom in that area, police said.
According to police, the child's mother told police on Jan. 2 that she gave her child to her mother, Reyes De Lopez, to care for him on Dec. 30.
The mother was then not able to locate Reyes De Lopez or her son.
Detectives will interview the grandmother, but it's unclear at this time where they were over the past few days.
