PHOENIX — A motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital after a hit-and-run crash in Phoenix Sunday afternoon.
The accident happened around 2:15 p.m. near 7th Avenue and Buckeye Road.
The driver of the vehicle, 51-year-old Cuauhtemoc Ibarra, left the scene but has since been located, according to Phoenix Police Sgt. Maggie Cox.
Police say the cause of the crash is under investigation.
The area of 7th Avenue northbound to Cocopah Street was closed while crews worked to clear the scene.

Ibarra faces one count of aggravated assault and DUI.
