Phoenix Police say six people - in three different cars - were involved in the wreck.
They transported a pregnant woman, but it’s unclear at this time what her condition was & if she was severely injured or if it was a precaution.
Police tell ABC15 the wreck happened after 31-year-old Cory Vargo ran a red light and collided with a car driven by a 30-year-old man.
When the cars collided, police say the 30-year-old man and his 27-year-old female passenger were ejected from their car. The female was 9-months pregnant.
Phoenix firefighters transported the woman to the hospital where she delivered the baby safely. The mother sustained a serious but non-life threatening injury, officials say.
After the two cars collided, one of the cars spun and collided with a 3rd vehicle, a Honda Pilot, driven by a 55-year-old male. The driver was not injured.
Vargo displayed symptoms of impairment and was found to be in possession of marijuana.
Vargo was booked into 4th Avenue jail for drug possession. Additional criminal charges are pending the toxicology results. The investigation is ongoing.
