PHOENIX — Phoenix police have identified a suspect wanted after attempting to hit an officer, prompting an officer-involved shooting last month.
The incident took place on Sept. 21 near Interstate 17 and Dunlap Avenue when police tried to make contact with the driver of a stolen vehicle. The driver reportedly drove towards the patrol car, hitting the door and causing minor injuries to an officer.
Police fired shots at the vehicle, but the suspects fled the area.
On Monday, police released video and suspect information for those believed to have been involved.
Officials are looking for 26-year-old Dontez Irvin, who is still outstanding. Anyone with information is asked to contact Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS, or police.
