Police say a death investigation has now become a likely murder-suicide after two bodies were found inside a Phoenix home Monday morning.
Officers responded to the residence near 22nd Street and Lincoln Drive around 8:30 a.m. after a man checking on his parents found the pair dead.
According to Sgt. Jonathan Howard, detectives determined that both died from gunshot injuries.
Howard identified the couple as 77-year-old Ronald Stafford and 76-year-old Anna Stafford.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
