PHOENIX — Phoenix police are investigating the death of a young woman who was found days after family last heard from her.
Officers were called to a home near 19th Avenue and Thunderbird Road for a welfare check on Sunday afternoon. The body of 22-year-old Robin Simmons was found inside.
Family had reportedly requested the welfare check after not hearing from her for a few days, causing them to be concerned.
Police have determined that foul play is suspected in the death, but no further information has been released.
