Police are investigating after a deadly pedestrian-involved crash in Phoenix early Monday morning.
The crash occurred after 5 a.m. near 39th Avenue and McDowell Road.
Police say the eastbound vehicle hit the woman and then stopped to render aid.
Video from the scene showed one person taken away in an ambulance. Phoenix Police say the victim died, according to an update on Twitter.
Police have the area blocked off while they work to determine exactly what happened, so drivers in the area need to take an alternate route or detour.
