A pedestrian is dead after being hit by a vehicle in the Arcadia area.
The crash happened early Tuesday morning in the area of 36th Street and Indian School Road.
Police told ABC15 a driver was traveling eastbound on Indian School when she hit a pedestrian who was not in a crosswalk.
The driver stayed on the scene and showed no signs of impairment.
The name of the pedestrian has not been released.
In a recently released study by the Governors Highway Safety Association, Arizona ranked number one for pedestrian fatalities per 100,000 residents.
