One is dead after a serious crash in Phoenix early Saturday morning.

Police responded to a crash near 32nd Street and McDowell Road around 1:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a single-car collision.
According to a Phoenix police spokesman, a Mercury sedan was heading southbound on 32nd Street at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control and crashed into the side of a building.
The 24-year-old driver died at the scene and was the only person in the vehicle, officials said. His name wasn't immediately released.
