The collapse comes as a wind advisory remains in effect for much of the state until 10 p.m., with gusts of 35 to 40 miles per hour expected.

Firefighters said Roosevelt remained closed near 1st Avenue while crews secured the remaining scaffolding to the construction site.

Officials said one vehicle was damaged and Roosevelt would remain closed until the scene was clear.
