The Phoenix Chorale has won its third Grammy.

The Phoenix and Kansas City chorales were awarded the Grammy for "Best Choral Performance" for their joint performance of Rachmaninoff: All-Night Vigil.

The album received nominations for producer of the year and best engineered album.

It was recorded under Artistic Director Charles Bruffy at St. Peters Cathedral in Kansas City using 56 members from both chorales.

"I could not be more thrilled, and am so proud of these amazing singers who have so willingly gone on this journey with me, and of the overwhelming international reception this album has received," said Bruffy in a prepared statement after accepting the award.

This win marks the third Grammy win for the Phoenix Chorale and its 12th nomination.

Bruffy has been artistic director with Phoenix Chorale since 1999. He's led the Kansas City Chorale since 1988 and the Kansas City Symphony Chorus since 2008.
