Indiana authorities arrested a Phoenix woman who was wanted in Phoenix after abducting her child in November.

Murray, who does not have custodial rights, reportedly took her 18-month-old baby from temporary custody on Nov. 17 and fled to Missouri.

The child was safely located at a family member's home days later, but Murray could not be found.

Murray was found with a Minnesota resident who also had multiple arrest warrants. Both were arrested and are awaiting extradition.

The arrest of the mother and safe return of the child was aided by the Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act which was signed by President Barack Obama in May 2015. The legislation allows U.S. Marshals to have more authority in helping local agencies in locating missing kids.
