Police are investigating a shooting outside a Phoenix strip club that left one man dead and another injured. The alleged suspect is on the run.

Sgt. Jonathan Howard said two men were shot around 12:45 a.m. Thursday in a back parking lot of the Essex Gentlemen's Club near 41st Avenue and Indian School Road.

A male in his 20s died, said Howard. The other victim, a man in his 50s, is being treated at the hospital. His immediate condition was not released.

Police have not identified the victims.

The suspect, described by police as a black male in his 20s, left the shooting in a dark-colored four-door sedan. Police are looking for him.

At the time of the shooting, investigators estimate at least 150 people were in the club. A motive is still under investigation.
