The Phoenix Police Department is investigating the death of an infant Friday morning.
A police spokesman says officers were called to a home near Washington and 16th streets around 10:40 a.m. A caller, the child's father, reported his nine-month-old son was not breathing.
The child was later pronounced dead, police said.
No other information was immediately available, though Phoenix police said the death investigation was ongoing.
