Phoenix police said they are investigating a homicide near 17th Street and McDowell Road on Tuesday.
Officials said they respond to a call around 8:30 p.m. when they found a man with gunshot wounds in the street.
Witnesses told police the victim was in the backyard of his house when a single shot was heard.
According to police, the 34-year-old Hispanic male made his way to the street where he collapsed.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He has been identified as 34-year-old Santiago Bravo.
Police said there is no suspect information to release.
