A man is in critical condition after he was hit by a commercial truck Tuesday morning, according to police.
Police said the driver of the truck was traveling northbound on 44th Street just south of Thomas when the man apparently walked in front of the truck. The driver was unable to stop and hit the man.
He was transported to the hospital.
Before paramedics arrived, a couple of bystanders stopped to help the man.
No other details were immediately available.
