PHOENIX — Police are investigating after a man and woman were found shot to death inside a Phoenix home Monday afternoon.
Officers were called to the scene near 48th Street and Broadway Road shortly after 3 p.m. for a welfare check after gunshots were heard earlier in the day.
When officers arrived on scene, they found the door to the home open and the man and woman deceased inside.
Authorities say they are working to identify a suspect and determine what led up to the shooting. The woman who was found dead has been identified as 30-year-old Cristina Palmares. The man who was killed is a 35-year-old man, but his name has not been released.
