PHOENIX — Phoenix police say a photographer was shot at Encanto Park Thursday night.
Police say the incident happened at the park near 15th Avenue and Encanto Boulevard around 9 p.m.
The victim, a 33-year-old male, was at the park when he was approached by three young men who reportedly asked him to take their photos.
Afterwards, the three started calling him racial slurs, according to police. Police say two of the men then shot the victim.
The victim was taken to the hospital but is expected to survive.
Police say the suspects fled the scene and haven’t been located. No description has been released.
