Unfortunately, we don’t know much about the past of this injured stray who now goes by the name of Anise. But now that she has received the medical attention she needed for her injured left eye, we can at least start being optimistic about her future. Anise, as it was determined by our Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital™, had symblepharon, a condition in which there is fusion of conjunctiva, or pink tissue around the eye, to the cornea. Since being treated by one of our veterinarians and given ample time to recover and gain a little weight in the home of an Arizona Humane Society Foster Hero, this three-month-old Domestic Shorthair was able to make her way to the adoption floor at ourSunnyslope Campus, where she has been waiting to find her fur-ever home ever since. Anise is kind of a new kid on the block to employees and volunteers, but it doesn’t take long for her to melt the hearts of everybody who meet her. Especially upon hearing her story, there isn’t anybody who isn’t rooting for her to find a happy ending to her rags-to-riches story.
