Phoenix Police say a 62-year-old man was found dead in a home Saturday evening and they're now searching for his son, who may have been involved.

Officers responded to the scene near 28th Street and Thomas Road where they found 62-year-old Craig Elrod's body. He was found in the bathroom of the home and appeared to have been there for several days. Police say he had upper-body trauma but the cause of his death has not been determined.

One of Elrod's sons, also a resident of the home, told police that he returned home after a week away and found his 24-year-old brother, Wynton, there. Wynton had been evicted weeks before after drug abuse, and was not supposed to be at the home. He reportedly lied about his father's whereabouts and fled in a Fiat that belonged to the deceased father.

Soon after, the father's body was located.

Police are now looking for Wynton, who is believed to still be in the stolen vehicle, an orange 2015 Fiat 500 with two doors. The Arizona license plates read "BMN2693".

Police say Wynton is a known heroin addict and is considered armed and dangerous. If you know anything about his whereabouts, contact Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
