Police in Phoenix are investigating after a body was located on a roof of a house on Saturday night.
According to officials, around 8:45 p.m. a homeowner heard shots being fired near 12th Avenue and Pima Street.
Once in the neighborhood, police located an unknown victim who had apparently been shot and killed. That individual was located on top of a house on the roof.
One man who lives at the home tells ABC15 that it was his roommate that was shot. The man says he was at a neighbors house when he heard the gunshots, and at first thought someone was trying to rob their house.
"Bam, bam, bam and I came in two minutes later to my house and I didn't see anybody so I called the police on 911," said the roommate, who asked not to be identified.
When he got home, he says he found his roommate shot on the roof.
Police haven't identified the deceased individual, and are still investigating the incident.
