Phoenix Police are searching for a driver who struck another car, fled the scene and left a passenger stuck inside his vehicle.
Police responded to the area of McDowell Road and 32nd Street around 7:30 Saturday morning after receiving reports about a car crash.
According to authorities, a man was driving westbound on Hubbell Street when he lost control of his car and struck a car heading northbound on 32nd street.
The driver of the first car fled the scene, leaving a passenger trapped inside the car, police said. The passenger had to be extricated from the car and is hospitalized with serious injuries.
The driver of the other car wasn't seriously injured during the accident.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident and no information about the suspect has been released. However, they're continuing to search for him.
A third car was also hit during the incident but no injuries were reported.
