Phoenix Police have identified a woman who was shot and killed in Phoenix on Friday.
Latangla Lawrence, 31, reportedly sustained several gunshot wounds inside an apartment complex near I-17 and Thomas Road. Police say she had been shot in the face.
According to witness reports, the victim was seen leaving the apartment after shots were fired before she fell to the ground.
A man was also located nearby with a gunshot wound and was taken to the hospital. He remains at the hospital.
Police say two children inside the apartment have been taken by the Department of Child Safety.
The shooting is still under investigation.
