PHOENIX — Phoenix police are actively investigating a murder that occurred at the Motel 6 early Saturday morning.
Police say around 1:40 a.m., they responded to a call of a shooting at the motel near I-17 and Indian School Road.
Once on scene, police discovered 37-year-old Sean Bartnick shot to death inside one of the motel rooms.
Authorities say a group of people were spotted leaving the scene in a dark colored, 4-door sedan shortly before the shooting.
Police confirmed to an ABC15 photographer on scene that they are investigating this case as a homicide.
