Police say one man is dead after an apparent argument led to a shooting at a Phoenix home early Sunday morning.

Phoenix Police Lt. Jeremy McClimans says officers received a call for an unwanted guest around 5:15 a.m. and shortly after received word that a shooting occurred.

When officers got to the home near 21st Avenue and Cactus Road, they found an adult man inside with a gunshot wound to the stomach. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A shotgun was also recovered inside.

Lt. McClimans says they have identified the suspect, who reportedly lives at the home, but do not know where he is located. He fled the scene in an older model white Chevy pickup.

Police believe both the suspect and victim were partying earlier in the night, and the victim returned home with the suspect before the argument and shooting took place.

A man and woman who were found in back bedrooms of the home have been detained for questioning.
