Authorities have identified the man shot and killed in downtown Phoenix Monday morning.
Officers responded to a shooting on the 21st floor of the Summit Copper Square complex, near Third and Jefferson streets.
Police entered the home to find a man, later identified as 31-year-old Isaac Deleon, with at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A woman called 911 and said she was involved in the shooting. Authorities detained her for questioning.
Investigators said the two knew each other and had a relationship in the past. The woman told Phoenix police the shooting was in self-defense. She was released pending further investigation.
Officials said a weapon was recovered at the scene.
