An accused slumlord in Phoenix is being identified by police.

On Thursday morning, officers served warrants at two locations --Roosevelt and 24th streets, and Central Avenue and Osborn Road -- both owned by 54-year-old Elijah Brown under the company Rooming, Inc.

Brown was charged with fraud schemes, operating an illegal enterprise, illegal possession of prescription drugs, felony theft and multiple counts of vulnerable adult neglect.

Fifty victims were identified and one of his properties was closed.

Officials say several agencies have come together to offer occupants temporary housing, shelter, and immediate assistance.
