An out of state homicide suspect is in custody after barricading himself inside a Phoenix apartment on Monday afternoon.
Police negotiated with the suspect who was barricaded inside an apartment at the Motif Apartment Homes near Interstate 17 and Cactus Road for several hours.

"They (police) just said there was a very bad man holed up in an apartment," said Wendy Fouts, who lives in the complex. "You never know where these people are gonna pick to wreak havoc."
The man was eventually found hiding in a clothes dryer, police said. His identity has not been released.

"I just moved here, I'm not even 2 months in this apartment complex, and so far every weekend something has happened," said neighbor Adrian Lamos.
