PHOENIX — Phoenix police are searching for a suspect involved in the fatal shooting of an adult man near Central Avenue and McDowell Road in Phoenix.
According to Phoenix police, officers responded to the around 3:30 a.m. Thursday for a reports of shots fired.
When they arrived, they found an "unresponsive" adult man on the ground.
Investigators say an individual approached the victim and noticed the man had suffered fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene. In an update Friday, police said the victim had been identified as 58-year-old Jeffrey Ventris.
Police say this is an ongoing investigation, and no suspects have been identified.
