A new poll in Arizona's Secretary of State race shows Republican businessman Steve Gaynor has an edge over Democratic State Minority Leader Katie Hobbs, with many potential voters still undecided.

In the latest ABC15/OH Predictive Insights poll, out of 600 likely voters, Gaynor has a 14 point edge over Hobbs, 50 to 36 percent. Fourteen percent of voters are still undecided, which could be a game-changer when Election Day arrives.

Outgoing Secretary of State Michele Reagan had come under scrutiny for election issues such as long lines in 2016 and dozens of polling sites weren't ready to go in August's primary.

ABC15 asked both candidates how they would work with county officials.

"What I would offer is our services to help them, let's see the plan, let's see what you have planned to do, how you're going to implement the technology for example," Gaynor said.

"The office has been plagued with poor relationships with county recorders, I will start on day one rebuilding those relationships so that we can work collaboratively," Hobbs said.

Methodology: This 42% landline and 58% cell phone poll was completed by OH Predictive Insights on October 1, 2018 and October 2, 2018, from a likely 2018 General Election voter sample. The sample demographics accurately reflected party affiliation, gender, region, and age. The sample size was 600 completed surveys, with a MoE of ± 4%. Numbers may not total 100%, due to rounding.
