PHOENIX — More than 30,000 utility customers lost power around the Valley Monday, as winter thunderstorms brought rain, hail, and gusty winds.

As of 7:30 p.m., more than 6,000 customers were still without power, according to both APS’ and SRP’s online outage maps.

Most of the power outages were reported in the northwest Valley, including Glendale, north Phoenix, and Peoria.
