An investigation is underway after two people were shot in Phoenix Saturday morning.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers responded to a shooting near 15th Avenue and Osborn Road just before 3:30 a.m.
As officers arrived, they located a man suffering from gunshot injuries.
He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police say they followed evidence of an injured person away from the scene but were unable to locate a second victim.
A short time later, officers received a report of a second shooting victim near 27th and Southern avenues.
The second victim, an adult man, was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Police say it is believed that these two scenes are connected.
