PHOENIX — Phoenix police say a 17-year-old has been arrested in connection with a shooting that injured two people on Wednesday.
Thursday afternoon police said investigators had found the vehicle seen leaving the scene and the teen was arrested inside.
A man and a woman were hit by stray gunfire while waiting at the bus stop near 51st Avenue and Indian School Road. Police said their injuries are not life-threatening.
Police say the 17-year-old was involved in a dispute with people from another vehicle at a nearby convenience store. The suspect then followed the second vehicle west on Indian School before he started shooing.
The bullets missed, hitting the two at the bus stop.
The suspect is being charged as a juvenile for drive-by shooting, aggravated assault with a firearm, and other felonies.
The incident marks the sixth road rage attack ABC15 has reported on so far in 2019, and the fourth in just the last two weeks.
