Silent Witness released photos Saturday of two suspects wanted for stealing around 1,300 blank vehicle titles.

ABC15 first reported the story earlier in the week that someone stole the titles from a local third party location, but the time and location of the robbery wasn’t known.

Silent Witness now says the titles were stolen from a third party MVD located near 31st Avenue and Thomas Road on Monday, May 23.

The Arizona Department of Transportation has asked people to be extra vigilant when purchasing used vehicles, because the blank titles can be used to retitle stolen or salvaged vehicles.

Silent Witness says the first suspect is a Hispanic male, around 30-years-old. He’s around 5’10,” 250 pounds with black hair and a beard.

The second suspect is also a Hispanic male around 30-years-old and is 5’1” and 130 pounds with black hair and a mustache. He was also wearing a neon green traffic vest during the robbery of the titles. Witnesses believe the man may have slept outside of the business over the weekend before the incident.

Anyone with any information about the robbery is asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
