Phoenix police are investigating a deadly crash involving a teenage pedestrian early Monday morning.
Officials say the 15-year-old pedestrian was hit near Central and Southern avenues around 7 a.m.
According to police, the victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Officials on scene told ABC15 crews that the teen had died.
The driver who struck the teen stayed on scene and is cooperating.
There is no sign of impairment at this time and no word on the cause of the crash.
Avoid the area while police investigate.
