A Jan. 28 trial has been set for a man accused of deliberately plowing a car into three Phoenix police officers two years ago outside a convenience store in west Phoenix.
Marc Laquon Payne has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder, aggravated assault and other charges in the September 2016 attack.
Authorities say the 46-year-old Payne speeded across the store's parking lot where the officers were standing and slammed into the officers.
Police say Payne fought with officers, but was taken into custody after one of the officers used a stun gun on Payne.
One officer suffered a broken leg, while another officer had a concussion.
The third officer suffered minor injuries.
