PHOENIX — Two women were taken to the hospital after an unknown object exploded Saturday afternoon.
Officials say one woman was carrying an unknown object near 17th Drive and Van Buren Street when it exploded, injuring both women.
The Phoenix Police Bomb Squad responded to the area to ensure no additional explosives were nearby.
This incident is currently under investigation.
