PHOENIX — September 14 for most of us is just another day but for Edna Collins, it's her birthday and not just any birthday, as she will turn 105.
Edna had a party Friday afternoon, with friends and family to celebrate.
"I love life," said Collins.
An author of over 100 books, she's been a writer basically her whole life. Collins said she's never been sick and in her over 100 years of life, she has no regrets.
“I never resented anything, if I didn't do what I wanted to do I just turned around and did something else," Collins said.
Her Daughter Nancy Meegan made the trip in from Atlanta to see her mom turn 105.
She shared her thoughts on why she thinks her mother has lived so long.
"She looks forward instead of backwards and I've seen her in situations that a lot of people would just sit down and cry and be miserable and she just plows right through it," said Meegan.
Edna is not only a grandmother and great grandmother but a great great grandmother. Nancy and her mom are looking forward to many more birthdays.
Happy birthday, Edna!
