Under the dim glow of candles, friends and family gathered at Encanto Park for Brandy Myers.
Kristin Thelen says it’s the first time anyone has held a vigil for her sister.
"My life has been devastated after losing my sister and I lost most of my family in the process because we all imploded on ourselves,” Thelen said.
Myers went missing back in 1992. She was last seen in her Sunnyslope neighborhood near 5th Street and Hatcher Road. Thelen says she was collecting money for a book drive and never came home.
Police suspect foul play in the case.
Thelen is convinced Miller is the man behind her sister’s disappearance. She recalls how close he used to live to their childhood home. She also cites the time Miller’s ex-wife told Crime Watch Daily her ex-husband once confessed to killing a girl.
"It's just a confession. I just want it out his mouth and into the world so everybody knows that he took her life,” Thelen said.
Thelen believes there is a witness out there who can help connect the two cases. She’s desperately trying to raise awareness about her sister’s disappearance so that someone may come forward.
"Please don't sit on it until your death bed. Come forward and give us some peace,” Thelen siad.
If you know anything about Myers’ disappearance call Phoenix Police.
