Woman breaks into home near 22nd Street and Roeser Road, kills man

A woman has been arrested for murder after an armed robbery in Phoenix on Monday night.

Phoenix police said around 6:00 p.m. on Monday, two women broke into a house near 22nd Street and Roeser Road.

During the armed robbery, one of the suspects shot 41-year-old George Talton, who was visiting in the home at the time. Talton was treated for his injuries but died at the scene. 

Police later developed a probable cause to arrest Keyanda Blakes, one of the two women involved. Blakes was arrested in Avondale. No other details on her arrest were made immediately available.

Blake was booked for one count of first-degree murder and armed robbery. 

According to police, there was a known relationship between the suspects and victims in the robbery.

Police are still working to find the second suspect. Anyone with information about this incident is urged to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
