PHOENIX — Phoenix and Tempe firefighters are investigating a deadly crash near State Route 143 and State Route 202.
Officials say the crash involving an armored vehicle on fire occurred at around 2:45 p.m. Monday.
When firefighters arrived on scene they suppressed the fire as well as extricated one person from their vehicle, Phoenix FD says.

While fire officials were attending to this collision, there were two more rollover accidents reported nearby. There they found one adult who was pronounced dead on the scene and two men were transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
Travel in the area was restricted for several hours while crews worked to clear the scene.
