PHOENIX — Multiple families have been displaced after a first alarm fire at an apartment complex in Phoenix Saturday evening.
Phoenix, Tempe and Scottsdale firefighters responded to the fire near 52nd and Van Buren streets.
Officials say when crews arrived, they located a two-story apartment complex with flames extending up to the second level.
Crews say they quickly evacuated the apartments and extinguished the flames from reaching other units.
No injuries were reported as a result of the fire, and multiple families have been displaced. Crisis response teams are currently assisting the families with their needs.
Officials say the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
