Man shot, killed near 35th and Dunlap avenues, police looking for suspect

PHOENIX — Phoenix police are investigating after a 38-year-old man was shot and killed late Sunday night.

Officers responded to the area of 35th and Dunlap avenues around 11:40 p.m. after the shooting occurred.

Police say a victim, who has not yet been named, was found at the scene and taken to the hospital for treatment. He later died due to his gunshot injuries, police say.

Detectives are working to determine who the suspect may be and why the shooting occurred.
